✓ Apply if you are an Army Captain/Major (or Navy/Air Force equal) with the required commissioned service, or a para-military officer of Assistant Commandant/Deputy Commandant rank with the required years, and you are in SHAPE-1 medical category.
✗ Skip if you are a civilian graduate or a JCO/NCO: the rank condition is strict and there is no relaxation for it in the notice.
Why: only 60 posts, but the pool is a small, specific group. The selection is one online test plus a 100-mark interview, so a focused 3-week preparation can matter.

Application Fee
UR, EWS and OBC candidates pay Rs 750. SC and ST candidates pay nothing. It is non-refundable, and the form counts as complete only after the fee is paid online before the last date.
Exam Pattern: Online Test and Interview
The test has four sections, two hours in all. Only Professional Knowledge counts towards your rank; the other three just need the minimum qualifying marks that the bank will fix later. There is no negative marking.

Interview carries 100 marks. Final merit uses 70% weight for the Professional Knowledge score (out of 100) and 30% for the interview, so a strong PK paper does most of the work. Ties are broken by age, older candidate first.

Cut-off, Competition and Safe Score
Official cut-offs and applicant numbers for this post are not published, so I can only give a planning target, not a fact. Because three papers are qualifying and the minimum marks are undecided, aim for a safe pass in each of them and put your energy into Professional Knowledge. A reasonable personal target is to score above 70 of 100 in PK and to clear the other papers comfortably, since the interview is only 30% of the final weight. Treat this as advice, not an official figure.
Syllabus: What Professional Knowledge Covers
The bank lists fifteen areas. In simple terms, you should revise these groups:
- Security basics: asset, risk, threat, vulnerability, loss prevention, risk matrix and treatment methods.
- Security hardware and software: access control, scanners, alarms, CCTV, communication gear, SOPs and drills.
- Fire safety: fire triangle, extinguisher types, response plans and NBC/IS standards.
- Manpower, executive protection, disaster management and business continuity.
- Information security and IT security from a physical security angle.
- Liaison with police, army and fire services, and general office administration.
- Security management in banks: cash and gold custody, vaults, ATMs, cash in transit, burglary and dacoity prevention.
Exam Centres and Telangana / AP Angle
The test is online. The bank lists centres in every state. For Telugu candidates: Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam and Warangal in Telangana, and Guntur/Vijayawada, Kadapa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Ongole, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh. You get no choice change later, and the bank may allot a different centre. The notice does not state the exam language, so check the call letter.
